From Harm to Healing

A Women’s Connection & Resilience Programme offers a calm, culturally sensitive and trauma‑informed space for women in Bury to explore gambling harms with care and compassion.

Many of the women affected by gambling, directly or indirectly, are also mums, partners and carers carrying multiple pressures. 

This programme is designed to meet them gently where they are, recognising the many roles they hold and the strength it takes to navigate them. It supports women to understand gambling harm, deepen awareness, build knowledge of support, and strengthen connection within a supportive community.

Each session creates space for shared conversation, collective learning and the building of community strength. There is always time to connect, reflect and support one another, and every workshop ends with a simple wellbeing activity.

Over time, this approach helps women feel held, heard and connected both within the group and across the wider community.
